Building Better Contractor Businesses: A Contractor Business Podcast for Structure and Profit

share

We’re excited to relaunch our show, now called Building Better Contractor Businesses, a contractor business podcast focused on real growth, real structure, and real conversations.

Before this, our podcast was called The Las Vegas IT Podcast, where we interviewed IT professionals and highlighted developments in the tech space. It was a completely different outlook and direction.

But as our organization grew, so did our conversations.

We realized the discussions happening behind the scenes inside our own company about systems, pricing, leadership, mistakes, and profitability were the conversations contractors actually needed to hear.

So we made the shift.

Why We Made the Shift

Hosting the Las Vegas IT Podcast gave us the opportunity to spotlight technical experts and build strong relationships in the IT space.

However, as the host, Shaytoya recognized something important.

Although she has worked behind the scenes in the industry for more than a decade, helping build operations, structure teams, improve communication, and support growth, she is not an IT technician. She wasn’t the one engineering networks or installing systems.

Her expertise was never in technical execution.

Her expertise was in operations.
In structure.
In leadership.
In building a profitable organization behind the scenes.

And that realization changed everything.

The conversations where she could bring the most value weren’t technical IT interviews. They were the real business conversations contractors rarely have, the ones about systems, pricing, leadership mistakes, operational gaps, and profitability publicly.

After more than a decade navigating growth inside a contractor business, the pivot became clear.

That’s how this contractor business podcast was born.

What This Contractor Business Podcast Is Really About

Building Better Contractor Businesses is about going behind the scenes.

We’re sharing what’s working inside our organization, and what’s not.

If you’ve ever felt busy but still behind, you’re not alone. Many contractors are excellent at their craft but struggle with structure. Without strong contractor business systems, clear pricing strategies, and defined leadership processes, growth can quickly turn into chaos.

In this contractor business podcast, we talk about:

  • How to grow a contractor business with structure

  • Pricing strategies for contractors

  • Leadership inside a contracting company

  • Subcontractor business growth

  • Creating predictable work

This isn’t fluff.
It’s not hype.

It’s an honest conversation about building a profitable contractor business that lasts.

From Interviews to Real Conversations

While The Las Vegas IT Podcast focused on interviewing industry professionals, this new direction focuses on transparency.

We’re opening the doors and sharing the real conversations happening inside our company, the wins, the lessons, the corrections, and the structure that creates stability.

Because building a contractor business shouldn’t feel like constant survival mode.

It should feel intentional.
